Al Shabab make offer for Lazio’s Felipe Anderson

Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab have sent their first offer for Lazio’s Felipe Anderson.

According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Al Shabab want to sign Lazio forward Felipe Anderson this January and therefore have sent an initial offer of €15 million recently. The Brazilian international’s contract expires at the end of the season when he could transfer for free but it seems that the Saudi Arabian club want to land him now.

There was interest from Roma and some Arab clubs for the 30-year-old last summer but no concrete talks took place. However, things are changing now and the Italian side is looking to cash in on the player instead of losing him for free.

Biancocelesti owner Claudio Lotito said no to renewal talks when Anderson demanded to nearly double his salary to play for his club. The president is now negotiating with Al Shabab to increase their primary bid as he has to pay 50% of the sale value to the winger’s former club West Ham United.

With Ciro Immobile’s recurring physical problems, manager Maurizio Sarri would be left with just one alternative in the form of Valentin Castellanos should Anderson leave the club this winter.
