Bayern Munich want to sign Harry Kane, and have had a verbal offer of £60m plus add-ons rejected by Tottenham, according to Sky in Germany. Tottenham's stance remains that any bid will be rejected. I just can't imagine him wanting Kane to run his contract down into next year."So although it might be a drawn out affair and lots of messages via the media and via agents in terms of the negotiation that will publicly play out, I'm sure Tottenham will be trying to get that figure closer to £100m. He [Kane] would run riot in the Bundesliga and he would win the trophies that he has obviously not yet won."Whether or not that would be his preferred destination I'm not sure. He's got a young family and he might not want to move abroad, and if he did then I would've thought Real Madrid would be the preferred destination with a bit more glamour and more chance of a Champions League trophy."However, I can't see that this Bayern interest won't spark some action here. We're told that Manchester United have somehow cooled their interest - I can't believe that it has. Bayern Munich want to sign Harry Kane, and have had a verbal offer of £60m plus add-ons rejected by Tottenham, according to Sky in Germany.

Tottenham do not want to sell Kane - who has one year remaining on his contract - but Bayern and manager Thomas Tuchel appear to be ready to test the club's resolve.

Kane broke Tottenham's all-time goalscoring record in February with the winner against Manchester City.

It saw Kane move beyond Jimmy Greaves' tally of 266 goals for Spurs, which had stood since 1970.

Spurs set sights on further signings after Vicario deal

A new centre-back and an attacking midfielder are the next priorities for Tottenham after completing the signing of goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

James Maddison is the top target for the attacking-midfield role with the 26-year-old set to have a medical at Tottenham on Wednesday as the Leicester City playmaker closes in on a £40m move to north London.

Bayer Leverkusen's Edmond Tapsoba and Wolfsburg's Micky van de Ven are two of the centre-backs they are interested in.

Sky Sports News has already reported that Fulham's Tosin Adarabioyo is also on the target list.

Tottenham want to sign at least one centre-back and how many they do will depend on outgoings.

Davinson Sanchez's future is particularly uncertain and Clement Lenglet - who made 26 appearances last season - has already returned to Barcelona following his loan spell.

Tapsoba - a Burkina Faso international - made more than 40 appearances for Bayer last season, including five in the Champions League.

Netherlands U21 international Van der Ven played 33 times for Wolfsburg last term and is left-footed.

Adarabioyo wants to leave Fulham and can play at both right and left centre-back.
