Dembélé’s Move to PSG Stalled: Barcelona’s Mateu Alemany at the Helm – Report

The Ousmane Dembélé transfer saga took another turn over the last few hours, with FC Barcelona providing a roadblock. According to reports, the Spanish club wants to secure a more significant percentage of the €50 million transfer fee. 

Diario SPORT revealed more details regarding Barcelona’s Mateu Alemany has taken the lead in the negotiations. While PSG is ready to pay €50 million for the talented forward, disagreements over the sum distribution have led to a deadlock.

Barcelona has asserted that the transfer documents will be sent to PSG once their demands are met. Furthermore, the Catalan side intends to hold power to maintain this stance until August 21.

Strained relations between Dembélé and the club further exacerbate the transfer impasse. While the relationship had shown signs of improvement after previous contract negotiations, recent developments have caused a breakdown in communication once again. 

The Spanish club’s patience has also worn thin with the demands of Moussa Sissoko, Dembélé’s agent, leading to further complications in the negotiations.

Barça understands this blockade is unsuitable for any party, but they want to stay strong and maintain their position. But, sooner or later, Dembélé will be a PSG player, and the distribution of €50 million remains unknown.
