Discontent in Napoli dressing room about Victor Osimhen’s treatment

The Napoli dressing room and many of the club’s players are filled with discontent, as the current Serie A champions continue to struggle this season.

It has been a harrowing season for the Partenopei, who lie ninth in the table and nine points behind top four. A managerial change is on the way again but it is the dressing room which seems unhappy about the treatment of some players so far in the campaign.

Corriere della Sera (via CN24) state that the discontent in the dressing room is because of the privileges some players get in the side. The report states that Victor Osimhen, players believe, receives extra good treatment from the club regardless of his actions. There is a belief that despite his tantrums about a new deal, despite him returning late from AFCON and then not being fit, he gets to be a regulat feature in the side.

Eljif Elmas meanwhile, was made to train alone when he sought a move. Piotr Zielinski has threatened to be excluded from the project when he was joining Inter. But the players believe that the same treatment isn’t handed to Osimhen and certain players want the same privileges as the Nigerian.
