Fabrizio Romano: Decision on Mbappé’s Training, Match Inclusion Expected Monday

The Kylian Mbappé transfer saga continues to be a roller coaster ride as the 24-year-old has trained with the players with no future at Paris Saint-Germain after being excluded from the summer tour in Asia. 

However, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner could still suit up for PSG amid the Real Madrid rumors. Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reports in his latest “The Daily Briefing” on Sunday that the capital club will decide early this upcoming week, probably on Monday.

PSG’s 2023-24 Ligue 1 season will get underway on Saturday when FC Lorient visits the Parc des Princes. As a result, this week, the squad will focus on preparing to start the new campaign on the right foot.

Only a couple of weeks are left until the summer transfer window closes, so these rumors will continue. Nonetheless, moving on from the player and avoiding distractions will be in the French giant’s best interest. 

The Ligue 1 side cannot afford to lose Mbappé on a free transfer and have to recoup a fee. All signs point to Real Madrid being the next destination. Whether the Spanish giants put in an offer for Mbappé or wait until free agency remains to be seen.
