Inter’s Hakan Çalhanoğlu rejects Saudi Arabia approach

Inter midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu has rejected an approach to play in Saudi Arabia, where a club made an offer.

The Turkey star has been a vital player for Inter not just this season but he has been a very important part of Simone Inzaghi’s outfit since last season. He has established himself as one of the most reliable deeper midfielders in Europe.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that last summer, an approach from Saudi Arabia did arrive and it was an expensive offer. In August, Al Hilal came forward for the Turk and in recent weeks, they came forward once again and attempted to land the midfielder.

It was an open offer, which will remain valid till the summer. They had offered a four-year deal to the midfielder worth €18 million per season but Çalhanoğlu’s offer was clear. He rejected the approach, just like he did in the summer and he remains keen on staying.
