Despite the heartbreak, Mikel Arteta’s side have already added quality with Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber signing this summer to get Gooners dreaming of going one further. They’ve signed Rice, brilliant signing don’t get me wrong, I’m jealous of it being a Spurs fan. “But let’s not get carried away, they’ve still got a long way to go. Teams are all improving this season, everyone’s improving.” When asked about their strength in depth, he replied: “You mean Havertz? He can’t hit a barn door! He wasn’t good enough [at Chelsea], so they got rid of him. “I’m telling you now, Havertz will be a flop at Arsenal,” O’Hara also added as he refused to be drawn into Arsenal fans’ predictions. The Gunners’ preparations for the new campaign have already kicked off on the pitch. Arteta’s side drew 1-1 against Nurnberg in the first pre-season friendly of their summer tour. Next on the agenda is fixtures against MLS All-Stars, Manchester United, Barcelona and Monaco before the Community Shield against City.

But O’Hara is not one to be drawn into such a prediction

Last season, Arsenal fans thought they were going to win their first title since 2004 but late-season form hampered their chances and the club finished second last season behind Manchester City.

Despite the heartbreak, Mikel Arteta’s side have already added quality with Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber signing this summer to get Gooners dreaming of going one further.

And Wenger is full of confidence, telling Eurosport at the weekend: “I believe we will win the championship.”

However, O’Hara thinks it’s too early to be saying things like that.

Speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast, he said: “Come on, these Arsenal fans are all getting a bit carried away, aren’t they?”

He added: “I just think everyone’s getting a little bit carried away. They’ve signed Rice, brilliant signing don’t get me wrong, I’m jealous of it being a Spurs fan.

“But let’s not get carried away, they’ve still got a long way to go. Teams are all improving this season, everyone’s improving.”

When asked about their strength in depth, he replied: “You mean Havertz?
