Detroit Tigers radio analyst and World Series champion Jim Price died Monday night at the age of 81, the team announced Tuesday. After his final season as a player in 1971, the former catcher became an announcer at ESPN in the company’s early days. He joined the Tigers’ television broadcasts in the early 1990s before switching over to radio.
