Juventus interested in Giorgio Chiellini’s return to the club

Juventus are interested in the possibility of bringing former defender Giorgio Chiellini back to the club in a management capacity.

Chiellini announceed his retirement from the sport yesterday, having finished his career with an impressive tally of nine Scudetti wins. He was one of the finest defenders of his generation, having formed a part of Juve’s iconic defensive trio which involved himself, Andrea Barzagli and Leonardo Bonucci.

Corriere della Sera (via TMW) have reported that the Italian is now evaluating his future role. His plan right now is to spend Christmas in the United States and wait till the summer to understand what his next job is going to be. By then, he could have earned a degree in Business Administration as well, through which he can stay in football.

He would like a return to Juventus in some capacity, it has been previously reported. And Juve are also interested in bringing the 39-year-old back. While no contact or meeting has transpired yet, both parties would like a reunion. And for now, it seems inevitable that a return would take place and it is only a matter of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’.
