Lazio interested in Manchester United’s Fred

Lazio are interested in the possibility of signing Manchester United midfielder Fred.

According to a report by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Fred is aware of a firm interest in him from Lazio and is excited about the idea of playing for the Roman outfit.

The Biancocelesti are creating their squad for the new season in view of competing and sustaining in the Champions League. The club are offering the player the promise of Champions League football and are placing him at the centre of the project.

Manchester United have named a price of around €20 million for the Brazilian. Lazio will hope to cover a significant part of the transfer fee using add-ons and that will be the key component in the talks and they could cover a part of his wage using the Growth Decree regulations.

It is predicted that the 30-year-old contacted current and former Brazilian players who played for Lazio to gain knowledge about the city of Rome and the Serie A. The midfielder joined during the Jose Mourinho era at Old Trafford and the Glazers went on to pay a fee of almost €60 million to Shakhtar Donetsk for his services.
