Napoli close in on salary agreement with Udinese’s Lazar Samardzic

Napoli are just hours away from securing an agreement with Udinese’s Lazar Samardzic on personal terms.

According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli are getting closer to concluding negotiations in the Lazar Samardzic front. Both parties have resolved the image rights issue and are now working on the salary part of the contract.

Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis shares an excellent relationship with the 21-year-old’s entourage and the deal is well under control despite it being time-consuming. The initial salary proposal from the Partenopei was €2 million but the demand stands at €3 million. It is expected that the difference will soon be bridged through negotiations.

The current Scudetto holders have an agreement with Udinese in place as they are set to pay around €20 million in transfer fees. Additionally, there is expected to be a bonus added which is to be payable when the player completes certain achievements with Napoli.

With Piotr Zielinski’s renewal becoming uncertain and several players leaving for AFCON, Samardzic will replenish the squad and work to becoming a starter for the future.
