Napoli nearing move for Udinese’s Lazar Samardžić

Napoli are nearing a move for Udinese’s Serbian star Lazar Samardžić, who has previously been linked to a host of clubs in Italy.

The 21-year-old midfielder was close to an Inter switch in the summer but complications made sure that the move fell through right when it was on the cusp of completion. Juventus have also been linked with him, but it seems as if Napoli are making progress.

Daniele Longo has reported that the Partenopei are nearing a move for the midfielder and he is getting ‘increasingly closer’ to joining the club. The first verbal offer was already made by Napoli and they will make an official one next week. Personal terms of €2.5 million per season will be offered to the player, who would be signing a five-year deal. 

This comes after Sky Italia reported that both clubs are already in contact for the player and the signs are now positive after initial talks. Aurelio de Laurentiis has a great relationship with those at Udinese and there is confidence that an agreement can be found soon.

Considering everything, thing do look positive on this front.
