Victor Osimhen close to signing new Napoli deal

Striker Victor Osimhen is now edging close to signing a new contract at Napoli after discussions between the two parties.

Two meetings have been held between the Partenopei and Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda and Sky Italia report today that Osimhen has never been this close to signing a new deal with the club. Both the parties are ready formalise the renewal and work is underway to iron out the last few details.

His current deal at Napoli runs out in the summer of 2025 and last week, Osimhen’s agent Calenda held a meeting with the club and that brought the two sides closer. Talks about the wage and the release clause took place and there is a very likely possibility that the clause for the Nigerian will be much less than the €200 million that was initially requested by Aurelio de Laurentiis.

It is likely to be at around €150 million. The hope is that the next meeting will close the renewal, with the striker likely to renew his deal for at least another season.
