ESPN’s Julien Laurens Gives Honest Take Regarding Kylian Mbappé-Real Madrid

The summer transfer deadline is approaching, and all eyes are on Real Madrid. After the Kylian Mbappé transfer saga has dragged on, the question remains whether the Spanish club will make an offer.

A recent report from CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs reveals that Paris Saint-Germain remains calm and is even talking extension with the 24-year-old. 

Still, a last-minute bid from Los Blancos wouldn’t come as to the French giants. A Real Madrid proposal will only be assessed by PSG if it’s higher than €160 million. 

Additionally, PSG is now talking to Mbappé about different contract extension options. Nonetheless, ESPN’s Julien Laurens gave an honest take regarding how he sees this saga playing out at least this summer. 

“It is either Real Madrid make a huge offer to PSG for Mbappé, or it will be impossible for him to leave this summer,” Laurens said.

The critical question is whether it’s a move for optics or the number is competitive. Additionally, the Meringues probably want to avoid paying a transfer fee and desire the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner to arrive as a free agent.
