Fiorentina seal move for River Plate’s Lucas Beltran

Serie A side Fiorentina have now all but sealed their move for River Plate star Lucas Beltran, beating late interest from Roma.

Sky Italia have reported about the situation, stating that La Viola had reached an agreement with River for a fee regarding the 22-year-old striker. But they had not agreed personal terms with the player, who was taking some time to make a decision about his future.

Offers were received from other clubs by the player’s agents and one came from Roma, who offered a lower wage than La Viola. But Beltran has now decided – he will move to the Artemio Franchi for a fee of €25.5 million. Fiorentina are now very confident of sealing the deal, with the player expected to arrive in the city tomorrow.

It is stated that Fiorentina agreeing a high fee with River meant that the Argentine side played a role in convincing the striker to move to Florence.
