Galatasaray and Saudi clubs make approach for Roma’s Leonardo Spinazzola

Turkish giants Galatasaray have made an attempt to sign Roma defender Leonardo Spinazzola in January.

The Italian, who sparkled at the last edition of the European championships but his progress was derailed by two serious injuries, has failed to re-establish himself in the Roma side following his return to action.

His contract expires next summer and Sky Italia state that Galatasaray made their move for the Italy international on the 29th of December. They want to add the player to the side in January, with the Turkish side already in possession of multiple former Serie A players.

Two Saudi clubs have also made approaches for the Roma man, with Al Shabab having previously been linked with a move for the 30-year-old. Whether Spinazzola departs this month or not remains to be seen.

This season, the Azzurri player has played 15 times in all competitions and has scored once, having started 11 games so far.
