Inter considering Alexis Sánchez return

Alexis Sanchez returning to Inter is a very real possibility, according to Corriere della Sera. The outlet are reporting that Simone Inzaghi has given his ok for the signing to go ahead, and Inter see him as a smart signing as they will save money and be able to spend elsewhere in the squad.

Sánchez enjoyed a good season with Marseille, after joining on a free transfer last summer. He started 32 league games, scoring 14 goals and getting three assists. At 34 years of age, the Chilean still has the knack of goals and can still prove a valuable asset.

After missing out on Romelu Lukaku, Inter are still looking to bolster their forward options, and Sánchez is of course well known by Inzaghi, as a player that he can rely on. When the forward was previously at Inter, he was used sparsely. He only started 29 games in three seasons, and if he was to come back this summer, he would not expect to be a regular starter.
