Lazar Samardzic departs Milan as move to Inter reaches stalemate

Whilst it seemed very certain that the promising Serbian international would become a Nerazzurri player by the end of the weekend, central midfielder Lazar Samardzic has Ιeft Milan as his transfer move to Inter has reached a sudden stalemate.

FcInter1908 reports that the player has departed Hotel Melia in Milan in order to resume training with Udinese as the negotiation discussions between the player’s representatives and the club have reached a grave roadblock.

The 21 year-old arrived to Milan on Thursday with the intentions of sealing the switch from Udinese to the Benemata as both clubs have agreed on a loan worth €4m and with an obligation to buy of €16m, as well as an additional €2m and the inclusion of Inter academy graduate Giovanni Fabbian heading in the opposite direction.

Samardzic underwent his medicals the very same day he arrivedas the deal was set to be finalized  following a meeting on Friday amongst the club and the Serb’s entourage.

As Inter entered the headquarters with the assumption that the discussions would be smooth-sailing as the details of the contract were previously agreed upon with football agent Rafaela Pimenta, the talks took a shocking course which led to a sequence of unexpected events over the past few days.

Rather than Pimenta arriving to the Inter headquarters on Friday, the Nerazzurri were surprised to see the father of Samardzic representing his son, as Pimenta was reportedly relieved from her duties of representing the 21 year-old.

The young Serb’s father presented details that were different from the figures previously agreed upon, creating an impasse between both parties as Inter have made it clear through continuous discussions yesterday that the club has no intentions of altering the terms of the agreement.

Although Samardzic’s entourage is expected to maintain contact with Inter as the Udinese midfielder is extremely keen on joining the Nerazzurri, it very much seems that the potential move to the Serie A giants is on the verge of collapsing.
