OFFICIAL | Marcus Thuram joins Inter

Inter have signed forward Marcus Thuram as a free agent. The Frenchman will sign a contract which ties him to the Nerazzurri until 2028. 

Thuram completed his medical tests on Tuesday morning at the Inter headquarters and officially put pen to paper some hours later. Initially, Thuram was expected to sign for the other side of the city: Milan. The Rossoneri reportedly offered a higher salary than Inter, however, Thuram still preferred to join the Nerazzurri. 

The French striker is out of contract after 4 seasons with Borussia Mönchengladbach. In his time at the German club, the 25-year-old played 134 matches, in which he found the net 44 times. Thuram has also featured for the French National Side 10 times. Paris Saint German were also in the hunt for Thuram’s signature, but it seemed like Milan had already beaten the French side for Thuram’ signature. Inter swooped in at the right time and hijacked the deal.

Thuram is the son of Italian football legend Lilian Thuram, who played for Parma and Juventus.
