Report Reveals Messi Preparing Drastic Financial Decision to Join Barcelona

Lionel Messi appears heading toward an exit at Paris Saint-Germain after the capital club reportedly suspended the 35-year-old on Tuesday for taking an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia. 

RMC Sport reported on Thursday that Messi would like to play one last season in Europe, has made it a priority to reunite with Barcelona. Furthermore, the Argentine is making a drastic decision.

The French media outlet notes that the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner is ready to divide his salary by three to reach around €10 million annually. 

Additionally, RMC Sport reveals that in private internal discussions, Barcelona wants to build a team where he will have a crucial role next season and that Sergio Agüero is helping pull the strings for a reunion.

Therefore, they will have to offer a convincing financial package to La Liga; as of now, there’s no green light from the league concerning the club’s economic situation. 

If La Liga doesn’t approve of the financial package, it might be time for Messi to consider options outside of Europe. 

The veteran goal scorer is courted with offers in Saudi Arabia, where Al-Hilal is plotting a sports record deal. In the United States, Inter Miami has been making eyes at him for several months.
