Annoyed Inter players do not want Romelu Lukaku return

Romelu Lukaku’s former Inter teammates are now also against the idea of the Belgian returning to the club this summer.

Inter gave up on Lukaku last weekend as soon as they realised that he had not responded to their calls and had spoken to Juventus about a move. 

La Gazzetta dello Sport state today that there is a feeling in the Inter dressing room that the Belgian has ‘betrayed everyone’. From Lautaro Martinez to everyone else in the team, the squad is not happy with the striker. Some players in the squad had also tried to get in touch with Lukaku during the days of chaos and he didn’t respond even to them – to the players that he had played with last season.

The players believe that welcoming him back would be like having an ‘explosive’ in the dressing room. There is also disappointment at the fact that those around Lukaku blamed Simone Inzaghi’s management for not chosing to join Inter and the higher-ups at the club know about the opinion of everyone and will not look to sign the Belgian again.

Before the move fell through, Lukaku was sending daily videos of him training to be fit for Inter on the club’s Whatsapp group. It is suggested that it was his mother who influenced his decision, along with lawyer Sebastien Ledure. 

But Inter will no longer tolerate Lukaku or any of his tantrums and now that they have come to terms with it, they will not sign him even if makes desperate pleas.
