Turin Police fines 171 Juventus fans for racially abusing Romelu Lukaku

The Turin Police Headquarters has issued fines for 171 fans who racially abused Romelu Lukaku during the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg clash involving the Bianconeri and Inter.

Lukaku had celebrated against the racial abuse after scoring a penalty in the game but was shown a second yellow card. No fines were initially issued against fans for racial abuse but it now seems as if action is being taken.

Corriere della Sera state that as many as 171 fans had made racist chants against the Belgian and they will be fined for their actions. Daspos (ban on attending football matches) are likely to be imposed on these fans, some of whom were caught on camera making monkey chants.

After the authorities viewed the footages, they could also see some Inter fans mocking Juventus fans for the Heysel disaster in Brussels and the police headquarters has issued a letter to the FIGC, notifying them of these Inter fans.
